Description

by Fergus O’Neill

The UCD water tower built over 7 days in 1979 and the winner of the inaugural Irish Concrete awards. A dodecahedron planar solid on top of a pentagonal base. A symbol of modernity and engineering prowess. This geometrically correct illustration captures the tower bathed in the purple light it’s been lit up with since the 1980’s.
