SAMSON AND GOLIATH are the world famous twin shipbuilding gantry cranes located in the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast 🏗🚢 Named after the biblical figures Samson and Goliath, the cranes dominate the Belfast skyline and symbolise Belfast in a way that no other structure can. The future of the iconic cranes was secured in 2003 when they were granted a preservation order under the Historic Monuments Act of Northern Ireland meaning the cranes will dominate the Belfast skyline for generations to come.
