John Rooney

John was given his first pack of crayons at the tender age of 1, ever since he has barely colored outside the lines at all.
His art is inspired by little-known actors, comic books, old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Bucky O’Hare cartoons and those really detailed spaceships off of Star Wars.
Since graduating from University of Ulster in Visual Communication in 2008, he has been freelancing and exhibiting in Dublin City as well as being a member of the BLOCK T collective and Slaves Studios.
His clients include Marsh’s Library, Aviva Stadium, The Grand Social, LeCool, Jo Burger, Little Bear, Trinity College Magazine, The Laughter Lounge, No Disko, and The Scoop Foundation.
