Gary Reddin
Gary Reddin is a Sligo based illustrator dedicated to capturing the excitement and exploits of modern Ireland. A surfer himself, Gary is inspired by the rugged cliffs of Connaught and the crashing waves famous to the area.
His work tells of the geography of the west with bright contemporary maps and stylised hikers taking in the views. The smooth, clean shapes and balanced colour schemes found in his work can be traced to his background as an architect, working in London and Copenhagen.
Cool and modern, his scenes are populated with poets, hipsters, hikers and surfers making the most of the coastline. Lonely lighthouses, cliffs and wild nights under the stars are all central to Gary Reddin’s work and his enthusiasm for rural adventure is infectious.
