Calin Ploscar graduated in 2010 the PDI (Photography and Digital Imaging) course in NCAD (National College of Art and Design), Dublin. He has an interest in modern art and a background of over 10 years in architecture. Calin’s work is an exploration of innovative ways of representation and seeing.
He employs Semiotics and Visual Perception to create a different perspective for familiar surroundings.
From small prints to large scale mosaics, Calin is working to reduce the image to its quintessence and to capture the place spirit and relevance: Connotation with minimum Representation. The viewer with his/her knowledge and experience is involved directly in the creation of meaning. The result is a different interpretation from every viewer.
